This was an experiment to design some folk art for a project based on Peter Rabbit. I usually use found papers but for this project I created my own colours using acrylic paints.

I have always wanted to experiment with window art. These three pieces are all made from black card and tissue paper and installed on large windows. The themes are all local history and folklore.

This was part of a much larger group exploration created at a masterclass with illustrator Laura Carlin at The House of Illustration. The workshop challenged us to think about simplifying our portrayal whilst still conveying the subject’s characteristics.
