Benson the Boxer demonstrates his beam work to his little bird friend!

This was part of a much larger group exploration created at a masterclass with illustrator Laura Carlin at The House of Illustration. The workshop challenged us to think about simplifying our portrayal whilst still conveying the subject’s characteristics.

The Grid: Table and chairs

Space frame- This space frame has no content. The illusion is created by shining a spotlight through mesh, behind coloured tissue paper.
